An Introduction to Juicing - Getting the Best from Fruits and Vegetables - Disclaimer

I am no health expert, everything I write in this section is a guide to getting the best out of fruit and vegetables. If you do wish to proceed with a diet based on juicing, please speak to your doctor if you are pregnant, are diabetic or have any conditions that may be affected by changing your diet.

As far as I know there are no real dangers in switching to a fruit and vegetable juice diet, but be aware that you can suffer the effects of detoxification as your body cleans itself. This can be tiredness, headaches, unusual stools etc etc.

So if you are confident about this diet and that you have no concerns, enjoy. One extra piece of advice, don't overdo the fruit juice diet, as this will allow your body to absorb natural sugars at a much quicker rate than normal. Eat fruit as well as juicing it to ensure you get sufficient fibre, as this is important.

In all things be sensible. You can overdo even fruit and vegetables!

At most as you begin, take two glasses a day, you can increase this to about four or five as your body conditions itself to your new regime.

Above all, enjoy your fruit and vegetables and reap the rewards of healthier eating. You will actually find you want to munch on salads and fruits as well as take the juices - so be creative, vary your diet and enjoy.
