The boards are being merged and/or converted at the moment. ClydeShipping will re-appear as a discussion board for Clydebuilt Ships Database editors and their contributors, BoT, Bristol, Chuffers, Planetalk and Thames will become static archives. Warships will be a mix of static and posting for researchers and contributors given its historical nature and FOGHORN is now the main board where you can post on Maritime and Transport matters as well as the usual FOGHORN material such as your days out, fun stuff, scenic views etc etc

This has been necessary as the boards are little utilised yet still consume server power and cause glitches, even if they are empty on any given day which many have been. Concentrating the new boards and their use will make each one more relevant and daily should provide something of interest. TugTalk now sits on its own domain again at http://www.tugtalk.co.uk

Clydesite is also on a new platform (or should be very soon) and it was necessary to reduce the potential for outages in the process. Restoring the closed boards to archive status will take time, possibly weeks, but all past material is being preserved and each one will receive attention when time and resources permit. Please remember there is only one person doing this and each board is a very large website in itself. FOGHORN is the main board as it is central and can be used immediately. Clydebuilt Discussions (ex ClydeShipping) will be along soon as will the archives for the old board. Announcements on progress of each board will be made on FOGHORN.
