The Historic Town of Ayr
Ayr Town Hall
Seen from miles around, this is Ayr's most prominent landmark, with an
impressive 225 feet steeple. It was designed by Thomas Hamilton, work commencing
in 1827 to the cost of £10,000.
Today the Hall plays host to a variety of concerts and events including the
immensely popular Septembayr Festival.
This year it kicks off on the 15th of September with none other than Sidney
Devine!
