We are very fortunate on Clydesite in having a huge band of intrepid
photographers who, some daily, post marvelous views of the Clyde and its
shipping.
As Christmas is just around the corner, I took a look back at Christmas
last year on Clydeshipping and selected a random number of suitably
seasonal pictures that had been uploaded.
Here they are, a taste of what we hope will come this year!

From Gary Lucas, who braved the cold on top of Erskine Bridge on
Christmas Day, showing the Forth and Clyde Canal and the River Clyde. The
building to the left is Scotnursing's HQ - I wonder if Gary needed nursing
after his time up there!

Again from Gary, shivering atop the bridge, the fine view of Dumbarton
Rock and the Cowal hills beyond.

Yet again on Christmas Day, a brooding view of the Holy Loch and
Western Ferries vessels doing their bit to keep Christmas going.

John Crae (we call him Sir!) posted this one showing Gourock at
Christmas from the top Lyle Hill - like Gary, he is a bit of trooper when
it comes to getting the shots he wants!

From John again as the snow falls, showing the Cross of Lorraine, that
poignant memorial to the Free French Navy that has appeared in so many
photos of famous Clyde ships going down to the sea.

John Newth posted this lovely photo last year, two of Western Ferries
fleet sitting snugly at their cold pier.

And finally, to end our selection of Festive photos, Stuart Rich posted
this scene from his home in West Kilbride, showing the dramatic snowy
peaks of Arran - the island called Scotland in Miniature.
Hope this selection gets you in the mood for the Season of Goodwill, we'll
look forward indeed to more of the same this year on Clydesite!
