Remarks: She left Liverpool on the 4th February 1864 under the command of Capt. Borland bound for Portland, Maine. When she got near to the harbour he misjudged the distance of lights on Cape Elizabeth and grounded her on the rocks and sank in an upright position in four fathoms. All boats were launched and eeryoner reached shore. Apart from one boat, filled with 20 Irish emigrants. Capt Borland and officers remained on board until the morning and all the mails had been saved. Previous update by Stuart Cameron

Remarks: Part of Convoy ON 166 she left the Clyde on February 11th 1943 in ballast from Glasgow to New York. She was torpedoed by U
92 resutling in the deaths of three men in the engine room and she took on water. Remaining crew of 50 took to the boats. She was torpedoed a second time by U753 but still refused to sink. She was finished off by the Polish escort BURZA
