Remarks: Struck a mine and sank off the Isle of Man. Her captain and 11 of her crew were killed.

As lengthened: Gross : 10116 Net : 6187 Dimensions: 513.3 x 67.3 x 36.6 feet
Collided: 18/8/1935 while enroute Glasgow to Liverpool, head on with the Laurentic of White Star Line, some 40 miles out from the Mersey Bar lightship. After off loading into the Fresno Star at Liverpool, she proceeded to the Tyne for permanent repairs.
Lengthened: 1935 by 24ft and fitted with a Maierform bow. The wells fore & aft were plated over and a topgallant focsle added.
Torpedoed: 18/12/1940 and sunk by the German submarine U 100, south of Iceland in a position 58.58N 23.13W [9] . She was on a voyage from Liverpool to New Zealand with 8,200 tons of general cargo. Of her crew of 82 and 17 passengers, only 15 survived, including the three women passengers Previous update by Stuart Cameron

Remarks: Sunk by U boat in the Western Mediterranean. Three officers and 35 ratings killed.
