Welcome to Clydesite's Clyde Shipping and Shipbuilding in 2002 This is a step back in time to five years ago, with a selection of posts from Clydesite's members in 2002. A lot has changed in that time, including Clydesite itself and sadly, some of our people are no longer with us. Whatever your reason for visiting, be it just to look at what we were looking at in 2002, to find a ship or something of interest about the Clyde, I hope you find some things here to be of interest. There is the usual mixed bag that makes Clydesite so compelling - pictures of visiting naval ships, container ships, cruise ships, and the inevitable ferries and of course ps WAVERLEY! Within all that you will also find some scenes that are changed forever, with the continuing 'development' of the River Clyde and although only five years since, there's enough nostalgia factor building up to warrant publication of that year! Of course not all the items were topical for 2002, you will also find a mix of posts relating to times past on the Clyde and it's shipping and shipbuilding, as well as the odd item that has nothing to do with our river! All in all, it's worth a browse, so have fun, but bear in mind you've stepped back five years!
